After months of production, we have finally have a movie title! It is…
And after all that, we just ended up taking the name from one of our favorite Peelander-Z songs.
Here is an old music video for the song, “Mad Tiger,” directed by my friend Paul Yee (no relation).
We flew down to Nashville, Tennessee yesterday morning to film Peelander Purple’s debut show with Peelander-Z. It’s been an incredible journey, following this band during this transition, and it’s beginning to feel like we have a great movie in our hands after months of work. The end is nearly in sight. We have to start thinking of a title!
Here’s a photo from after the show, taken by Peelander Black. Peelander Purple is on the far left!
Snow looks great on camera, but is a pain to film. The snow began falling again as Peelander-Z loaded out on their first tour with new bandmate and bass player Peelander Purple. Here is a photo of me with Rand Borden, founder of Kaiju Big Battel. He’s been a huge part of this documentary and also biked through the snow today to work tirelessly at the studio on some costumes. Things are shaping up to look pretty awesome. All this sacrifice for this Peelander-Z documentary might be worth it after all.
Peelander Green got a new tattoo of the 7 train to represent Queens!
